WATCH SELLER GUIDE

How Much Is My Rolex Worth?

A Rolex value is determined by the exact watch in front of the buyer—not simply by the highest asking price visible online.

The reference matters first

Start with the exact reference number and configuration. Different metals, bezels, dials, bracelets and generations can trade at very different levels even when the watches share a familiar model name.

Condition can move the number materially

Case shape, bracelet stretch, scratches, polishing, crystal condition and dial or bezel damage can all matter. For collectible watches, originality can matter as much as cosmetic appearance.

Box and papers help establish completeness

The original warranty card or papers, box, booklets, tags and extra links can support buyer confidence and may improve marketability. A watch without papers can still be sold, but completeness is one of several pricing inputs.

Asking price is not the same as transaction value

Marketplace listings show what sellers hope to receive. A dealer buy offer must also account for inspection risk, payment costs, shipping, inventory time, market volatility and resale margin.

How to get a useful valuation

Send the reference, approximate year, condition, box/papers status and clear photos of the dial, case, bracelet, clasp, caseback and accessories. Better information usually produces a faster and more accurate preliminary valuation.
